UK to watch Iran short ‘Like a Good Kid’

Iranian short ‘Like a Good Kid’ has been set to go on screen at the 2018 edition of the Crossing the Screen Film Festival in the UK.

Directed by Arian Vazir-Daftari, the 20-minute flick narrates the story of Sarah, a 22-year-old babysitter who looks after Matin, a five-year-old.

One day, Matin tells Sarah a story which makes her decide to steal from the house.

‘Like a Good Kid’ has so far experienced a number of international film events, including Cinéfondation section of Festival de Cannes in France, the Huesca International Film Festival in Spain, the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala in India, the Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival in Brazil, the Visioni Corte International Short Film Festival in Italy, and is set to go to the Brno 16 International Short Film Festival in Czech Republic.

Although, it is Arian Vazir-Daftari's only sixth work as a director, he has been able to make a name for himself with his previous work 'Not Yet'.

‘Like a Good Kid’ cast includes Shadi Karam-Roudi, Negar Abedi and Yazdan Kokabi-Saba.

Launched in 2016, the Crossing The Screen is an international film festival, meant to showcase innovative and independent forms of visual art from all over the world.

The Crossing The Screen is devoted to discovering and celebrating unique voices and up-and-coming new cinema talents, who are not afraid to transcend traditional storytelling.

The 2018 edition of the Crossing The Screen is slated for November 29-December 2, 2018, in Sussex, the UK.
